Expatriate life

Hira Ahmed Zakir

Expatriate means,

Wheel of fortune tax change, remittances sent for the development of the country.

Running after money for 24 hours, dreaming of owning crores of rupees.

Expatriate means,

New hope, new life, friends all sing in new tunes.

Deprived of parental affection, weeping in agony of not seeing.

Expatriate means,

Who deceives the people of the mind, I’m waiting for the tax.

I know you are not good without me, you are the light of my life and death.

Expatriate means,

Mom and Dad are very sick, I have to go to the country dear friend.

From the workplace, don’t say leave, villagers will give soil to parents.

Expatriate means,

Crying in the middle of the night, what happened, my friend, how bad it is.

The message of peace will explain, friend, why do you think life in exile is just like that.

This poem was sent by our expatriate friend Hira Ahmed Zakir. He lives in Saudi Arabia. We respect his feelings.

As a bonus, this wonderful song is for you
