Recruitment for Indian Navy: Are you willing to serve the country by joining the country’s defense forces? If so, you have a golden opportunity ahead of you. Recently, a notification has been issued for the recruitment of personnel in the Indian Navy. This appointment will be made in the post of naval sailor. Therefore, all the candidates who are willing to apply for this post, they must submit their application form online by 5th May 2021, i.e. today.

Recruitment will be done mainly in Artificer Apprentice and Senior Secondary Recruit. Candidates must go to the Indian Navy’s official website joinindiannanvy.gov.in to submit the application. A total of 2,500 sailors will be recruited in these two departments for the August 2021 batch. Of which 2,000 will be recruited in AA department and 500 in SSR department. All the candidates who pass the preliminary selection stage will be called for online examination and physical examination. The day of the test will be announced in the change notification by the Navy.

In this case, all the candidates who will come for the written test, must bring a negative report of COVID-19 infection. Only unmarried male candidates can participate in this test.

Educational Qualifications

  • Senior Secondary Recruit- In order to apply for the post of Sailor in the Senior Secondary Recruit Department, the candidate must pass the Class XII examination with at least 70% marks in any one of the subjects like Mathematics and Physics along with Chemistry / Life Science / Computer Science.
  • Artificer Apprentice- To apply for this post, the candidate must pass Class XII examination in one of the subjects of Chemistry / Life Science / Computer Science along with Mathematics and Physics.

Age

  • Candidates must be born between 1 February 2001 and 31 July 2004.

Salary

  • Candidates who pass the exam will get a stipend of Rs. 14,600 per month during the training. After the completion of the training, the candidates will get salary up to Rs. 21,600-69,100 as per Defense Pay Matrix. There will be more Allowance.

How to be recruited?

  • Due to the Corona epidemic, 10,000 candidates will be called for the written test. Candidates will have to be selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the board examination of class XII. Since there are separate vacancies for each state, there may be a difference in the cut-off numbers of one state compared to another.
  • In case of written test, the candidates have to answer 100 questions of 100 marks. Time will be 1 hour. Questions will be asked from English, Science, Maths and General Knowledge. Candidates will get question papers in both Hindi and English languages. There will also be negative marks for wrong answers. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
