If you ever fill out a form using the Google Chrome browser, you should know exactly what happens if you accidentally press the backspace button.

If you are only visiting the page without clicking in any field, once you press the backspace key, it will take you back to the previous page. It’s very annoying. And that’s why Google is testing a Chrome version with this backspace key and the option to go back. Don’t stay.

One study found that only 0.04 percent of users use backspace navigation.

You can go to the back page with Command + left key or Alt + left key, but in that case you have to use both hands. As a result, it is less likely to happen unintentionally.

Again, many users are still in favor of the backspace navigation key, but they have suggested to show a warning pop-up window in the browser before moving to the previous page by pressing the backspace.
