Pre-installed adware called ‘Superfish’ on laptops made by Chinese PC maker Lenovo Found. Users in the Lenovo forum have complained that the Superfish program is able to peek into user information by hijacking a computer’s browser.

When users browse a site on PC or search for information on Google, Superfish adware automatically displays ads in the browser without permission. The software even comes in the middle of important activities like online banking. Superfish does this through self-signed digital certificates.

According to experts, this type of behavior is mainly caused by malicious software or malware. It’s annoying, and can even threaten users’ privacy.

Although Superfish was created to find affordable products through online visual analysis.

Lenovo is currently facing a lot of criticism over the Superfish issue. Experts say that to get rid of this adware, you need to delete Lenovo’s preinstalled Windows and reset the PC. And when installing Windows in a new way (clean install) you have to use any installation media other than Lenovo.
