Robi, the second largest mobile phone operator in Bangladesh, has started selling fourth generation mobile network service Forge based SIM cards. Customers of existing Robi Mobile Connection will be able to collect Forge Supported Robi SIM by changing their SIM card. These 4G enabled SIMs will also work on existing 2G and 3G networks.
According to Robi Customer Care, existing Robi 2G or 3G SIMs will not work on 4G network. So now if customers take a Forge-enabled SIM card, they will be able to enjoy high speed internet service in the coverage area as soon as Forge is launched in the country.

However, the representatives of Robi Customer Care have no answer to the question of when the Forge service will be launched in Bangladesh. Even then, they started selling Forge-enabled SIMs with interested customers in mind. The name of this Forge SIM of Robi is ‘U SIM’.
You can go to Robi Customer Care and replace your current Robi Mobile SIM with a U SIM. This means that your current Robi number will remain the same, but the SIM card will be changed to Forge Supported Robi Usim. And Robi will charge 100 rupees for this SIM replacement. For this you have to take the subscription paper related to SIM ownership, one copy passport size photo and national identity card. Although Airtel and Robi merged Forge SIM will not be available now by replacing Airtel SIM.
