Anyone can change or correct the information of the national identity card of Bangladesh. The Government of Bangladesh and the Election Commission have made the task easier by bringing the process online. The information you can change or modify when applying for a National ID Card Amendment online is:

Once the registration is done on the website At this link Go and login to your account with the required information. After login you will see a webpage like this:

When you see the mentioned webpage This link Or click on the “Profile” tab in the top left corner. After coming to the profile tab, you will see all your personal information, such as name, date of birth, place of birth, name of parents, etc.

Then you will see a button called “Edit” on the top right. Clicking on the Edit button will display the information of the fee or charge applicable for changing the information of National Identity Card.

From there you will be taken to the edit profile page by clicking on the “Apply” button.

On this page you will see all your personal information again. Notice, there is a box next to each information. Clicking on these boxes will add the mark to the box and the information of the box marked with the mark will be edited.

From this page you can change the name, date of birth, blood group, birth-registration number, parents’ name etc. in your NID.

Mark the box next to the information you want to change and edit the information. Once the required information has been changed, click on the “Next” button at the top right.

Clicking the Next button will take you to the Changes tab. This tab will show the current and modified status of the information that you have changed. Then click the “Next” button in the upper right again. After clicking on the next button you will be taken to the Transactions tab

At this stage of the process, the amount of fee you have to pay for the information you have changed will be displayed. You will not be able to proceed to the next step until the fee is paid.

Then complete the process with the PIN of your mobile banking account. You will receive a receipt for the bill once the process has been completed properly.

Then come back to the process of changing the information of the national identity card. Reload the “Transactions” page. After reloading, you will see that your paid money is displayed here.

Then clicking on the “Next” button will take you to the Documents tab. There you will attach the scanned document of SSC exam certificate or birth certificate as validation of your information. Then click the “Next” button.

Now you will be asked to confirm the process of changing all the information of the applied NID card. Make sure all information is provided correctly.

Then click the “Submit” button at the top right. Then you will see the profile page. Click on the “Details” button at the bottom of the profile to see a new page.
