Download the Telegram app

Registration

To open a Telegram account, first enter the Telegram and provide your phone number. Then enter the code in the call or message from Telegram and complete the verification process.

After registering with the phone number, give a name to use in the app. If you want, you can immediately add a profile picture with your telegram account.

Permission

After opening a Telegram account, you will be asked for permission to access your contacts. Allow your phone number list to find out who uses Telegram.

Telegram will then ask for permission to access your phone’s photos, media and files. Since you will send or save pictures, videos, etc. using Telegram, feel free to tap Allow.

Allow the lockscreen access permissions to continue seeing notifications of ongoing calls or received messages on the lockscreen.

Settings

Telegram pin

No password is required to create a telegram account. So if your phone is unlocked, anyone can easily see your telegram chats.

You can use Telegram’s pin feature to keep your telegram chats safe and confidential from this problem. Using this feature you can set a PIN, which must be entered each time you enter the Telegram app.

To set the Telegram PIN, enter the Telegram app and tap on the Hamburger menu from the top left corner. Then tap on Settings. Enter the Privacy & Security section. Tap on Passcode Lock to get our desired settings.

Enter the PIN you want to set for your Telegram app and set the passcode lock by clicking on the tick mark. There is also a feature to use Telegram for a certain period of time after each passcode is set.

Two-step verification

Passwords can be set as a two-step verification process for added security every time you log in to a new device. This password is different from the OTP code of the login.

Tap Settings from the app’s hamburger menu. Then tap on Privacy & Security and then Two-step Verification.

Then tap Set Password to set the password for two-step verification. Then enter the password and press Continue.

Note that this password should not be forgotten. If you forget the password, you will be restricted to using Telegram on only one device.

Rules for using the Telegram app

Telegram app but very easy to use like WhatsApp. After entering the app, you can chat with anyone by telegram by clicking on the pencil icon in the bottom right corner.

Telegram can add up to 20,000 members to a group chat. After clicking on the same pencil icon, you can easily open Telegram group chat by clicking on New Group.

Telegram Secret Chat

To start a secret chat, enter the app, click on the pencil icon and tap on New Secret Chat. Then select the contact with whom you want to have a secret chat.

The Secret Chat feature provides privacy and security much like the Signals app. Secret chat messages are end-to-end encrypted, so no third party or device can see these messages.

No screenshots of Secret Chat can be taken. Also, secret chat messages cannot be forwarded to anyone. The secret chat cannot be shown on any device other than the device on which the secret chat was created.

Self-destruct time for a message can be set by clicking on the three-dot menu of Secret Chat. This means that after sending a message, the message will disappear within the set time from opening. The time of this disappearance can be set from one second to 1 week.
