A common feature of current devices running Windows Phone OS is that it must have capacitive back, Windows and search buttons. You will also find physical buttons in Android gadgets.
But Microsoft Now wants to give a gift of a completely buttonless smartphone. That is, Windows Phone 8.1 update will put an end to the era of capacitive buttons. Instead, visual buttons can be found directly inside the screen. At least that’s the latest leaked screenshot of Evlix Claim Doing.
Removing the physical button requirement will reduce the cost of producing the phone, albeit slightly. Microsoft is also reducing the license fee for software to make Windows Phone OS powered smartphones more popular.
Redmond will release Windows Phone 8.1 at next year’s build conference. It will also have new design Skype, personal assistant app Cortana, redesigned notification center, etc.
