Nowadays, the camera of smartphones has improved so much that many amateur photographers prefer to take pictures with their smartphones. Due to this, the value of small digital point and shoot cameras in the market has decreased a lot. But in the case of professional work, the place of DSLR or mirrorless camera is still intact. Even so, the portability of a full frame DSLR or mirrorless camera remains a question.

However, to answer this question, the famous lens manufacturer Sigma has announced a brand new mirrorless camera. They bring the world’s smallest mirrorless camera. It is named Sigma FP. The biggest thing is that although the camera is small, its sensor is not small at all. It has regular full frame sensor.

Its shape is very similar to the Sony RX100 Mark 2 currently on the market. However, its sensor size is only 1 inch which is much smaller than its full frame sensor. On top of that, the lens of RX100 Mark 2 cannot be changed.

Its sensor is 24.2 megapixels. It also supports ISO range from 100 to 25600. Its 49-point autofocus system and 4K video recording facility will be helpful for vloggers. In addition, Sigma has used an electronic shutter after the mechanical shutter, which allows it to take pictures without any noise.

Although small in size, Sigma has no shortage of input-output. It has 3.2 inch touch screen, HDMI port, mic, audio jack, external flash, remote shutter etc. However, the biggest problem is that it does not have an electronic viewfinder. This is a deal breaker for many. It is designed to be used with Lecure L-mount lenses. However, if you want to use an adapter, you can use a Canon or Sigma lens.

Sigma has not yet announced the price of the camera and when it will be available in the market.
