At Microsoft’s Think Next conference, a startup company recently unveiled a battery that can fully recharge your smartphone battery in just 30 seconds. Built using nanotechnology, this prototype battery can take a mobile from 0% to 100% charge level in just half a minute.

The size of the battery is like a cigarette packet. The Storddot charger took just 28 seconds to bring the battery of a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone to 0% to 100% charging level at the 8th exhibition held in Tel Aviv, Israel.

This battery is currently in the early stages of development. It may take up to 2018 to come to market on a commercial basis. The manufacturer did not say how much it would cost to make it. But the company’s founding CEO, Dr. Dron Meyersdorf, says these will cost 30% -40% more to make than ordinary batteries. And in the future this price will come down. Then its shape will be like the battery of the mobile.
