But magnetic storage is still used in various government agencies and archive agencies. These are cheap, energy efficient and reliable. And so the famous electronics maker Sony now records the storage with magnetic tape. Passed.

Sony Has developed a new type of storage tape that can store up to 165 terabytes of data. Made with the help of IBM, this tape has the same capacity as 3600 Blu-ray discs.
Sony’s device can hold five times more data records than IBM’s 2010 record-breaking storage.
