Google_Street_View_Car_in_Orlando, _FloridaSearch service provider Google is in the process of paying a fine of about ৭ 7 million to reach an agreement with 30-40 US states to collect and store people’s personal information using vehicles used in their popular mapping service Street View project. Reuters According to a number of news agencies, the mapping giant is moving to the settlement based on the information that the company collected from the Wi-Fi network through automated Street View car in 2007-2010, including users’ emails, passwords and other confidential information.

Although an official investigation has not yet been completed, according to various sources, Google Street View may arrange for a waiver of the case within the next week.

In another case, Google fined the US FCC ২৫ 25,000 last year. At the time, the organization called the controversial incident a “mistake.”

Outside of the United States, Google has also been involved in legal issues with Street View car data collection in Europe. In 2011, Google was fined around 100,000 euros in France. There too the mapping company collected people’s email messages, login names, passwords, etc. from various WiFi networks.

The US web firm has so far refused to comment on news of a recent settlement in the United States. But a spokesman said Google was always looking for privacy. He acknowledged that their numbers were not enough to defeat Obama’s government.
