On April 26, Parthasarathy was attacked by Corona. On May 11, his condition worsened. Steroids are given. Then one day he suddenly felt as if something was moving over his nose, and after a while his eyes would go blind. From then on, Parthasarathy Das could not open his eyes.

See an eye doctor. He was admitted to Dishan Hospital in Siliguri on the advice of a doctor. Then on May 17, you will know that Parthasarathy is infected with black fungus. Amphotericin B, pasaconazole injection, liposomal amphotericin were not available in Siliguri at that time. There was no supply of medicines in the open market or in the hospital at that time. Arrangements were then made to send the patient to Calcutta.

He was rushed to BR Singh Hospital, Kolkata. But the doctors there transferred the patient to a medical college. On May 22, he was admitted to the medical college under the ENT department.

Husband’s hopes of survival were dashed by his wife Santa Roy after he contracted black fungus. Yet he did not give up. Appropriate treatment begins at the medical college. At the end of that month, the right eye has to be removed. Parthasarathy is known to be a patient of high diabetes. Coronal problems also occur in the kidneys. Parthasarathy also fell ill due to the side effects of the harsh medicine given to treat black fungus. Dr Bijan Adhikari and Dr Subrata Mukherjee said the patients were coming too late. In that case our fight is becoming very difficult. Parthasarathy’s eyes have to be removed. But survived the black fungus.

Parthasarathy said, my life has started anew. I survived. That’s a lot to me. Parthasarathy is returning home tomorrow. It is learned that during the treatment of the husband, the doctors of the medical college arranged for the treatment of the wife of the pregnant wife Shanta Roy. Doctors even arranged to bring the drug liposomal amphotericin on their own initiative.
