The National EFI (Adverse event following immunization) committee was investigating 31 cases of people falling ill after receiving the vaccine. According to their report, in 18 cases, the cause of illness was not vaccine. The cause of the illness was not known in 6 cases. Vaccines are the cause of the problem in 3 cases.

Dr NK Aurora, chairman of the National EFI Committee, told the media: “Anaphylaxis has been identified as the first death. As a result, it is important to wait half an hour after receiving the vaccine. In most cases, the risk of side effects has been avoided by quick treatment.

According to the statistics available so far, only 4.6 people have been admitted to the hospital for every one million vaccines.
