Huawei has announced that it will suspend all Android services based on a US Department of Commerce ban. In contrast, Huawei said in a statement that they will soon bring their own operating system. Even last week, they obtained a trademark license for the name “Hongmeng” from China’s National Intellectual Property Administration.

The idea is that Hongmeng E will be their new operating system. However, a new report has revealed that although the Chinese version of their new operating system is called Hongmeng, the name of Global will not be Hongmeng. Instead, their new operating system in the global market will be called Arc OS.

Yesterday, they received trademark licenses for the names “Huawei Arc OS”, “Huawei Arc”, “Arc OS” and “Arc” from the European Union Intellectual Property Office. According to the leaked documents, these are the names of the operating systems of computers and electronic devices. Therefore, it can be said with certainty that Huawei is bringing Arc OS in Europe and Asia market as an alternative to Android OS.

The new OS will not only be used on their phones. Instead, it will support all types of Internet of Things devices, including smartphones and PCs. In addition to its own app, it will support all types of Android apps. However, it will not have Google Play Store or any Google service. In contrast, Huawei will have its own cloud service and Huawei partners will have third party cloud service. However, in this competitive market, it remains to be seen how their OS can compete with Android and iOS. Or who knows the situation will be like Microsoft’s Windows Phone!
