Own report: Delta Plus variants of Corona virus have become a new headache in different states of the country. In this situation, the Center on Friday directed eight states and one union territory to create micro containment zones. Covid-19 testing and immunization have also been directed in the districts.

On Friday, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said a letter had been sent to the governments of Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat and Haryana. The same letter went to the Jammu and Kashmir administration. These guidelines are directed to be implemented on a priority basis. He also directed to send the samples of the victims to the laboratory designated by INSACOG.

Besides, Rajesh Bhushan has asked to give more importance to the districts of the states where the presence of Delta Plus variant has been found. “Crowds need to be banned in these districts,” he said. There is even a need to increase vaccination on a priority basis. Earlier, the Center had said that 51 people have been infected in the country so far in the Delta Plus variant.

Sujit Singh, director of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), said there were 22 cases of the Delta Plus variant in Maharashtra. Nine Delta Plus variants were found in Tamil Nadu, six in Madhya Pradesh, three in Kerala, two in Punjab and Gujarat and one each in Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana and Karnataka. There have been three deaths so far due to the Delta Plus variant.
