The new victim of hacking is Evernote

The California-based Internet company is estimated to have about 50 million subscribers. Using the service, its members can store and manage personal information and files on the web server.

Evernote said customers’ email addresses, usernames and encrypted passwords were unauthorized access by any third party. The company claims that no payment information or stored documents have been found. There were no reports of video clips, photos, notes or other personal files stored by Evernote Cloud users being compromised.

In a statement, the company promised to strengthen its security by noting that its password encryption system is strong. Everyone is advised to change their current password for extra caution.

Such incidents are commonplace on other large services, as Evernote regrets to “annoy” users.

Over the past few weeks, several high profile companies around the world, such as Twitter, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and other web servers have been attacked by hackers. Experts believe that a big circle has worked behind this. Some groups have blamed China, but China has denied the allegations.
