Although all of Xiaomi’s phones are powered by their Android-based MIUI software, their “Mi A” series is a bit of an exception. The main attraction of this series is its operating system and camera. Google’s Android One is used in this series as their operating system.

After Google’s Pixel phones, Android One powered phones offer the purest and most up-to-date Android experience. At the same time the previous two phones in this series, the Mi A1 and Mi A2 had great cameras. So in the middle of the budget, Shaomi’s A series has shaken the market every time.

After the popularity of Mi A1 and A2, customers have been waiting for Mi A3 for a long time. Xiaomi and maybe capitalizing on this popularity is going to bring Mi A3 very soon. Because recently a phone from Shaomi is listed on FCC’s site. From there a diagram of the design of the back panel of the phone with model number M1906F9SH can be found.

In that picture, the design on the back is very similar to the Redmi Note 8 series. Below the rear camera module is a 48 megapixel AI camera. It is clear that the phone comes with a 48 megapixel camera.

But the funniest and most promising thing for Android One fans is that the bottom of the back panel has a small new style of Android One logo painted on it. So it is safe to say that this is their next Android One phone.

Another thing to note is that there is no fingerprint scanner on the back panel. It may use an in-display fingerprint scanner. Last month, a phone with M1906F9SC model number was spotted on TENNA listing. Its design is a lot like Shaomi’s upcoming Mi CC 9E.

So the idea is that Mi A3 might be a rebrand of that. If so, the latest leak suggests it could have a Snapdragon 65 chip, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 4,000mAh battery.
