Earlier this year, a robotic vacuum cleaner jumped on his sleeping boss and tried to pull his hair. The incident took place on January 3 in South Korea. The 52-year-old housewife was sleeping on the floor of her flat. Then his robotic vacuum cleaner approached the woman’s hair, thinking it was rubbish lying on the floor, and tried to ‘clean it up’ by tearing it up. By
Naturally, the housewife woke up feeling pain and tried to get the robot off her head. But as his hair was tangled, he immediately called the fire department through the emergency calling service and from there trained people came and finally rescued him. Although it did not cause much harm to the woman, she did lose some of her hair.
Many here may blame the robotic vacuum cleaner, but what is the fault of the robot poor? It has been programmed in such a way that if there is any ‘garbage’ on the floor, it will clean them. Then perhaps the definition of garbage was not taught properly. Its owner can sleep on the floor and then his hair has to be avoided or the robot will know how!
