This security flaw in the iPhone camera can cause your nightmares

Apple’s mobile operating system iOS has caught a fatal flaw that could allow abusers to secretly take pictures and record videos on any iPhone with a camera-permitted app. Felix Cross, an engineer who works at Google, has identified this horrible security flaw and released some information about it.

Google engineer Felix Cross says that the privacy settings of Apple’s iOS operating system are designed in such a way that when you allow an iOS app to use the phone’s camera and the app runs on the front, it can take pictures and videos behind your eyes with both iPhone cameras. Not only that, these apps can also take pictures and send them to someone else through internet.

Also, taking advantage of this security flaw, malicious apps are able to do facial recognition without your permission again. Felix Cross claims that the iPhone does not show any kind of notification while doing all these things.

From these images / video data, personal information such as user’s location, identity, device details, etc. may fall into the hands of criminals.

Way now?

According to Felix, you have very little to do to avoid such an unpleasant situation. Apple will be able to do the main work itself. Users can be protected from this risk only if the company can now improve its privacy settings with the iOS update.

Until Apple acknowledges the bug and updates iOS, all you can do is:

  • The iPhone can be covered with a camera cover. The cover should be removed when needed. Cover again after work.
  • You can turn off camera access for all iPhone apps. That means they have to turn off the camera permission. Use only iPhone’s native app to take pictures. Even if there are some temporary problems, for now you will be protected from big risks.
  • When doing private work, either cover the camera of the iPhone, or close the running apps, clear the screen and lock the phone.

Mark Zuckerberg taped the webcam and microphone on the front of his MacBook laptop to protect himself from unwanted behavior or peeping from the Apple device’s camera. Left– Such pictures were spread through social media.

Felix’s iOS About that error Informed Apple. Now let’s see what Apple does. Until then go to the bathroom and stop running social media / chatting / other such apps!
