Both the victims are residents of a village in Karnataka. One is an 11-year-old girl from Balari district and the other is a 12-year-old boy from Chitradurga district. Both are undergoing treatment at a government hospital. Their physical condition is very critical.
It is learned that both of them were infected with COVID-19. They were later admitted to the hospital as their condition deteriorated. They were admitted to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospitals, a senior health ministry official said. They have Acute Juvenile Diabetes (AJD).
According to the health department, 1250 people have already been infected in the state. Of which 1,193 are undergoing treatment. It has been possible to cure 17 people. 39 people lost their lives.

Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar said the state had received 10,000 amphotericin-B drugs from the Center. Free Mucormycosis (Black Fungus) is being treated at government hospitals.
