Led by Syed Rezwanul Haque Nabil, a master’s student in Shabir’s physics department, the project also features Robi Karmakar, a 4th year student of the same department and Maruf Hossain Rahat, a 2nd year student. They will soon be joined by Syed Omar Farooq Toaha as a software developer. The project is supervised by Prof. Dr. Md. Zafar Iqbal Sir.
The group has a status on the Facebook page of SUST Robotics, Aeronautics & Interfacing RG. Says “It doesn’t have drone features yet. It’s time to turn it into a drone. However, we have already done the DCC (Drone Control Center) software work for the drone, which looks a lot like the cockpit of a fighter jet. Once the interface of the current aircraft with DCC is finished, it can be operated automatically and with the help of DCC operator if required. We announce on the first day of this year that we will fly in manual mode in April this year and start practical work. However, within 28 days of starting work, we were able to fly and build DCC software. We have been secretly conducting various tests for so long. On 26/1/1014 we flew successfully in public. ”
“Among them are planes, gliders, jets, multicopters. With the help of the Army and the Air Force, we will look at building military drones. We hope that various government and non-government organizations in Bangladesh will work with us officially. This success of ours belongs to everyone in the country, including all Sustainers. We wish all the best to those who are working on this issue in Bangladesh. ”
