Whether we understand it or not, we launch various services on our mobile connection / SIM. As a result, the services deduct a certain amount of money from the SIM’s balance. Then the question arises, what is the reason for spending more money on SIM? It can happen at different time intervals. There is no limit to the suffering of SIM users with these. These deductible services are called value added services, or VAS for short.

But hopefully, these value-added services can be discontinued. Let us know the rules for stopping these value added services of Robi, Banglalink, Grameenphone, Airtel and Teletalk SIM.

A lot of money deductible service can be seen in Robi SIM. These services are usually launched by phone call or by dialing a specific number. However, it is easiest to stop the money deductible service on Robi. Just dial * 9 # from your phone and all the value added services will be turned off.

However, if you want to shut down a particular service by turning on other services, you can stop the service by sending a message to the number from which the message of that service comes.

To stop all value added services of Banglalink SIM dial * 121 * 7 * 1 * 2 * 1 #. Then all the value added services of the phone will be stopped, even my tune, including my offer. If you want to turn off the rest by keeping a certain value added service on, call Banglalink Helpline 121. It may take up to 72 hours or less for the service to take effect.

GP SIM also does not lack the service to deduct this money. Dial * 121 * 6 * 1 # to turn off most of the value added services of Grameenphone SIM. Remember, dialing this number will not stop Welcome Tune, Missed Call Alert, Call Block Service, Music Radio and GP Music subscription. So to stop these services you have to call 121 or follow the unsubscribe method in the message of that service. It can take up to 72 hours or less for the message to take effect, even after the procedure has been followed.

Airtel SIM has some deductible services. These services are usually launched by phone call or by dialing a specific number. However, it is much easier to stop these services at Airtel. Just dial * 9 # from your phone and all the value added services will be turned off. (Like Robi.)

It can take up to 72 hours or less for the message to take effect, even after the procedure has been followed.

They did not find a single shortcode on their website to turn off the value-added service on Teletalk SIM. I called the Teletalk helpline more than once, but got no connection, probably because of the coronavirus they had to work with a limited number of agents – so no connection; I will try again another day and update this post. However, Teletalk’s website has a list of all their value added services. In that list you will find ways to turn each service on and off. Click on this link You can visit that web page of Teletalk.

If you want to turn off the TeleTune service, follow the procedure below.

  • Go to the message option of the mobile and type TT STOP
  • Send the message to 5000.

You can also turn off Teletalk’s value-added service by calling 121. It can take up to 72 hours or less for the message to take effect, even after the procedure has been followed.
