Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates recently spoke to Fox News about his relationship with Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. In that interview, Bill Gates explained what kind of mobile phone he is currently using. Former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates also said that he recently changed his phone platform.

Bill Gates says he recently started using Android smartphones, which have a lot of Microsoft software installed.

So which phone did Bill Gates use before? IPhone? Or Windows Phone? He said in the same interview that he does not use any iPhone. Assuming that Bill Gates used to use Windows Phone before, but Bill Gates himself has moved to another platform as Microsoft is not making any visible development with Windows Phone at the moment.

Of course In the interview Bill Gates did not specify the model of any Android phone he is using now. Microsoft sells a version of the Samsung Galaxy S8 in its own store, with a variety of Android apps made by Microsoft installed. Presumably, Bill Gates may be using such a flagship Android phone.

However, Bill Gates said in the same interview that he still uses Windows based computers.

Whatever the model or brand, the fact is, Bill Gates is now using an Android phone. Not an iPhone, not even a Windows Phone.

Last year, the global market share of Windows Phone sales fell below 1% Goes. Microsoft hasn’t been making any new Lumia smartphones for over a year now. Although many believe that Microsoft may announce a ‘Surface Phone’ in the future, it is not certain when that day will come.
