There is no end to the discussion about Microsoft’s latest PC operating system Windows 8. It should be clear to everyone that this new Windows OS did not live up to Redmond’s expectations. But a Samsung official recently went a step further by commenting on the software.
Dong-su-jan, head of the South Korean company’s memory department To the Korea Times “I don’t think Windows 8 is better than its predecessor, the Windows Vista platform,” he said in an interview.
Some time ago, electronics maker Fujitsu blamed Windows 8 for the decline in their computer sales. And the Samsung official’s remark is probably the first of its kind from Microsoft’s OEM partner companies, where Windows 8 has been compared to Vista.
As you may already know, Vista is one of the flop products of Microsoft.
However, Mr. Dong’s comment did not come directly as “Ontopic” for the Windows operating system. Dong commented in a discussion with the Korea Times about the decline in general PC sales and how Samsung would adjust their memory chip production to that proportion.
Mr. Dong may have heard from outside that Windows 8 is not cooperating with Microsoft as expected. This comment may have originated from there.
However, there is a common saying that “the words of a man’s mouth and the bullet of a gun are the same thing – once they come out, they cannot be taken back”; Much the same thing has happened in the media with the statement of the Samsung official.
Whatever you say, to me as a user, Windows 8 seems to be one of the best inventions of Microsoft. How much Redmond is doing or not doing is their business 🙂
