Xiaomi looks at notebooks or laptops quite well. Following this, last Tuesday at the launch event of their Redmi K20 Pro in China, they announced the Redmi brand new laptop Redmibook 14.

Although this is their first Redmi brand laptop, it is not Shaomi’s first laptop. Earlier, they also launched a laptop called Mi Notebook. They were well received in the market. Laptops priced at about half the price of the MacBook Air were left to compete with the MacBook.

This year’s Redmibook has also retained the style of the previous Mi notebook in design. The laptop is very slim with simple and minimal aluminum design. They have been kept under weight to give them better portability for transport to the office or class.

Redmibook 14 uses a 14-inch screen. However, depending on the specification, there are several variants. Its display is an IPS panel in full HD resolution. It uses eighth generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. It comes with 6 GB RAM as well as Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics card. The laptop will come in 256 GB and 512 GB SSD storage variants.

Xiaomi claims it is capable of backing up to 10 hours. With all these features, it weighs only 1.5 kg. Another advantage is that it has genuine Windows and Office Suite pre-installed.

The pre-order of the laptop will start from June 11. Depending on the specifications, the models will be priced between 4,000 and 5,000 yuan.
