However, the good news for MIUI fans is that today Xiaomi announced their brand new MIUI version MIUI 11 at their M9 Pro 5G launch event. The most interesting aspect of MIUI 11 is its UI design. Of course, that is not the case. It has already received the Red Dot Design Award, one of the most important awards in the design world for design. According to Shaomi, they are the first company to receive this award for software.
In the new OST they have added the default fontface called Milan Pro which is simultaneously optimized for Latin and Chinese scripts. Moreover, in MiUI 11 you can reduce the thickness of the font to read the text better if you want. Moreover the sound effects of the whole system have been further optimized than before and a number of new nature influenced sound effects have been added.
Two productivity apps called Mi Work and Mi Go have been added to MIUI11. The Mi Work app allows you to do things like file sharing, sending large documents, screen casting or wireless printing. It is expected to be very helpful for employees. The Mi Go app, on the other hand, will help you do just about anything. Its battery saving feature gives you about 24 hours standby time on 5% charge. Moreover, there is an option to buy mobile data with one click.
Closed beta of this new MIUI OS will be available to certain customers today on their phones. However, the open beta program for MIUI 11 will be launched from the 26th of this month through which everyone can install it. For now, a trial version will be released for 16 devices. On the other hand, as always, the stable version will be a bit late. But even Xiaomi hopes that from October they will start rolling out stable versions on some phones.
