China’s Apple Xiaomi has always been very popular with its users for offering all the great features on smartphones. Xiaomi is at the peak of popularity among smartphone brands, especially in Asia. At fulcrumy.com Redmi Note 5 (also known locally as Redmi 5 Plus) Seeing a description of it made me interested in the phone. And since I decided to keep my old smartphone and use a new one, the Redmi Note 5 was at the top of my list of favorites.

Redmi 5 Plus comes in two variants 3/32 and 4/64. I am using 3/32. I bought the phone on March 10, 2017 after seeing so many features and low prices and many positive reviews online.

Here is my experience after using the phone for a month.

Screen

There is very little extra space around the 5.9-inch screen display of the 18: 9 radios, which I like. When you take the phone in hand, a premium fill comes.

There seems to be a little problem with the display light, especially in the sun. However, running in high contrast mode will not be a problem. I mean, it won’t have much effect on the eyes. However, if you go out in the hot sun to run normally, you must change from high contrast mode to automatic mode.

The four corners of the display are slightly curved and have a 16: 9 radius, so watching YouTube videos can be a problem. Although the rest of the video is black. If you want, you can optimize the video ratio with a little zoom. However, some parts of the video may be cut.

Xiaomi has been able to optimize the apps that are not 16: 9 radios from their ROM quite well. Even then, some parts of the display turned black above and below the ones that could not be optimized. I didn’t think any of this was a problem.

I also do a little reading on my mobile phone. I mean, PDFE is my biggest hope of satisfying my hunger for reading. So the big display and its reading mood has made me feel like a relief.

How to turn on reading mode: Go to the phone’s settings panel and display, then turn on reading mode. This turns off the blue light emission of the display which helps you to look at the display continuously for a long time.

The camera

With a budget of 15-16 thousand rupees, you can’t expect a better camera. Camera Quality Average.

The picture of the night is not so good. However, with the touch of an expert’s hand, you will be able to take fairly good pictures even at night.

Selfie camera is also average. Of course, this budget seems to me to be sufficient.

Let me tell you, if you take a picture with Google Camera Port, you will fall in love with the picture. However, in this case the warranty of your phone will be void and there may be some problem with the phone. In particular, the security of your phone will be minimal as a result of rooting the set.

I got MIUI 9.2.0 when I bought the phone. Maybe still gives. However, at 9.5.3.0 you will get the taste of full screen display and iPhone gestures.

Gaming

When it comes to gaming, almost all games run smoothly. I regularly play GTA, Need for Speed, FIFA, DLS games. In this case, no heating issue of the set was found. However, many sets may have heating issues. I’ve used Iceland with Greenify to customize a lot of things like me which is why RAM usage is low. Which is probably one of the reasons for not facing this heating issue.

Battery

Now let’s talk about battery backup. As I said before, I read PDF on my mobile. So, you have to take a little time to read the PDF. Just by reading the PDF I got 16 hours battery backup. Plus, you’ll be getting rid of clutter you don’t need.

This battery backup on a phone with 5.99 inch display gave me satisfaction. And overnight (i.e. if not used) charges like 2%.

After all, with a budget of Rs 16,000, this phone seems to me to be one of the best in the market. Last April 3, I bought Redmi Note 5 Pro for my uncle. And I’ve been using it for the last week or so. I hope I can give Note 5 Pro and Hands on Review very soon.
