Harmful links / “viruses” / spam writing ‘videos’ are spreading through Facebook messages. If the spam link that comes as a message comes to you, it may mention your name as well as the video. Clicking on it may endanger the security of your Facebook account. So do not open those links in any way. They can also install malicious extensions in your browser and send malicious links to your other friends. It can also steal your information.
I received a link message like this. Since the message was sent to me, it contained a picture of me and a ‘video’ with my name in the link title.
Now if such a link is sent to someone else from my PC / mobile, then the recipient of that link will see his own name (who will get the message). It is natural to be curious when you see ‘video’ written on the link with your picture, and this is the trap.
Check your Facebook message inbox to see if such a message has been sent to someone from your account. If sent, remove unfamiliar browser extensions now, and go to Facebook settings to see if any suspicious apps have been added to your account. If so, delete the app.
